Description
Since 1864, a “Naval Ensign” has flown atop vessels belonging to the British Merchant Navy whose crew include retired or reservist members of the British Royal Navy, if not an officer in command. In 1868, this was extended to Canadian government ships.
This version features the Canadian Coat of Arms on its fly, similar to our national flag. Flags such as this were flown as a “jack” on Canadian government ships between 1957 and 1965.
The sizes available for this product were specifically curated to conform with Commonwealth standard 2:1 aspect ratio for all flags flown within the British Empire. Non-standard flags are also available.
