Description

Since 1864, a “Naval Ensign” has flown as a Jack on vessels belonging to the British Merchant Navy whose crew include retired or reservist members of the British Royal Navy, if not an officer in command. In 1868, this was extended to Canadian government ships.

This version features the Canadian Coat of Arms on its fly, similar to our national flag. Flags such as this were flown as a Jack on Canadian government ships between 1957 and 1965.

These sizes do not conform to the British Commonwealth standard of 2:1 aspect ratio but may be useful to or preferred by certain collectors. Standard 2:1 flags are also available.
